Two Voices and Two Very Different Coaches
What voice do you choose to listen to?
Growing up I played a lot of sports, but primarily tennis. I was fortunate enough to learn something from one of my coaches that sustained me through the competing years as well as helped me to be successful in navigating my life’s many trials. It is a simple but powerful principal that I actually assist my clients with. We each have the voice of a “coach” within our minds. How that Coach speaks to you, is of your own choosing.
Does your Coach show up negative, angry, and berating you for every thing you don’t execute perfectly? Yelling and putting you down for simple mistakes?
-or
Does your Coach show up with encouragement, love, and inspiration for what you are doing correct? Does the Coach tell you in a positive and uplifting way how to correct mistakes?
How you choose to talk to yourself is of vital importance. What voice you choose to use and listen to, when coaching yourself through life’s challenging determines a great deal of whether you have a higher energy level to achieve success or you fail and drop into despair or depression. We all fail at what we want to accomplish sometimes. That is the challenge of this life. But, how we choose to speak to ourselves through those failures and challenges determines how quickly we bounce back and how successful we ultimately are.
Many of us have grown up with a negative coach speaking to us. Whether that voice was from our parents, coaches, or teachers. The tendency is to take on their voices when we talk to ourselves. It is time to be mindful of the voice you project towards yourself. Remember, energy attract like energy. You will pull to yourself the reflection of your own inner world. So, choosing how you speak to yourself can literally change your existence. Choosing to have an inner coach that inspires, encourages, motivates, and celebrates you is one of life’s greatest opportunities.
Try it out. Pick one area of your life right now that is challenging. What has your inner coach been telling you and in what tone? If it’s negative, then change it into a positive coach that can push you to be better while at the same time being your biggest supporter. One thing you may notice is that if you have had a predominately negative coach for most of your life, you will have both coaches vying for dominance. You will hear the inspiring coach and then right behind it you will hear the negative coach. Just stay consistent with putting more energy into the positive coach, until the negative coach fades into the background. You will start to see a change in your situation. Energy attracts like energy. It’s just a matter of time.
The positive coach, is the voice within you that is instinctual when truly acknowledged and guides with inner wisdom and empowers you to your unlimited potential. All your answers to your challenges already lie within you. You just have to connect with the right inner coach to tap into that wisdom and unlimited energy. Turn your: “I can’t, I should, and I have to, into: I can, I choose too, and I get to. Turn your drained, bottomless pit energy into energy that motivates and sustains you. It starts with what coach/voice you choose to listen too. What voice is predominate in your mind?
Start to listen to those regularly around you. What type of inner coaches do they have? It will come out in their speech and tone of voice. How they talk about themselves and others, shows what kind of coach is driving their actions. We all show up in the outside world according to how we exist in our inner world.
A Life Coach is a great asset to helping you find your inner inspirational coach and voice. When activated you can go from striving and expending a lot of energy that stays stagnant to truly thriving with expanding, evolving, and endless energy.
Start to listen to your positive coach and watch your life transform.
